Mr. Nathan Block is a co-founder of and principal analyst for Red Wolf Associates. He has managed numerous engineering consulting projects and has authored and reviewed many engineering calculations in support of design basis activities, probabilistic safety assessment, control room habitability, and NRC finding mitigation among others. Mr. Block has extensive thermal-hydraulic analysis experience modeling confinement building scenarios, piping systems, and other general thermal-hydraulic problems such as containment phenomena and component temperature response. He also has experience with containment sump chemistry and evaluating the impact of hazardous chemical releases on control room habitability. Mr. Block has also performed development and maintenance of the GOTHIC code. Mr. Block earned a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina.
